DiViniero Villa: A Modern Italian-Inspired Poolhouse Designed for Leisure & Living

FILED IN: Poolhouse

At Hunt Contracting, the design process begins not with blueprints, but with stories—how a family gathers, unwinds, entertains, and escapes. The DiViniero Villa poolhouse is a reflection of that philosophy: a serene outdoor retreat inspired by old-world Italian charm and reimagined through a modern, coastal lens.

The Vision
Our clients wanted a space that felt like an effortless extension of their main residence—classic yet current, peaceful but full of life. The result is what we call Modernized Old-World Italian: a blend of clean lines, natural textures, and curated moments that evoke both luxury and simplicity.

Designing with Purpose
From the start, this poolhouse was about more than just function—it was about feeling. Drawing cues from the bold beauty of Amalfi Coast villas, we layered traditional architectural nods with modern materials, balancing high-end finishes with timeless warmth.

Think:
– Arched openings and soft stone textures
– Crisp cabinetry and minimalist hardware
– Breezy, open layouts that invite conversation and calm

The palette is intentionally pared back—neutral tones, soft whites, and coastal wood finishes—allowing the architecture and landscape to shine.

A Seamless Transition Between Indoors & Out
This space was designed for fluid living: morning coffee with a breeze, afternoon swims with friends, and golden-hour lounging that flows into evening gatherings. It’s both a standalone retreat and an extension of home—something that feels just right no matter the time of day.

The Bespoke Process
Every client we work with brings a different kind of inspiration. For this one, it started as a brain dump: notes, photos, phrases like “modern but warm” and “Italian coast but livable.” We love translating those early sparks into real, usable designs. The concept boards, material guides, and layout plans we share are meant to do just that—to help our clients see their dream space before the first stone is ever set. Take a look at a few of our behind-the-scenes photos of the work in progress.
